Life is the greatest teacher, but we can hasten this learning process when we reflect within upon the value of our day to day experiences. In periods of silent meditation we can be instructed by the ever-lasting soul that knows all and sees all.We so often ignore the silent wisdom that God has placed within our hearts, and too frequently turn to the ever-continuing clamour of the world arround us for solutions to our problems. But where has that left us?

For centuries, men and women have been immersed in a material life, yet they have not foundtrue and fully satisfying answers to the questions perplexing them. But the truth of life has been written and spoken of by the worlds mystic and great minds throughout the ages.There are very few mysteries that have not already been descovered by sages,adepts, avaters and even humble neophytesof the past. Such light as we ourselves have sought can come only when selfishness, vanity, pride and self seeking have been replaced with love, trust, sincerity and compassion for others, The agape of ancient greece.

Then we will know, as do our initiated brothers and sisters, the glory and beauty of a mystical life lived to the full.

Scientists make a lot of material mistkes but then they admit it: they call them postulates.  Their biggest mistake though is in thinking that everything and all is MATERIAL! It just goes with the territory. It’s what scientists do, or at least what they used to ponder pre quantum physics. But, the MATERIAL mistakes of the religious communities are just as great if not more so. 

Being human is the starting point of our material mistakes. We think we’re HUMANS!

As any mystic or bio-energy practitioner would tell you (and many of other of the same ilk as well), we are primarily, first and foremost, ENERGY (can you say SPIRIT?). We have an etheric  template that keeps this material body functioning in spite of the food we feed it.

We live in a world of solids, liquids, and gases.

All of the above are just different states of matter when you get down to it are not so much solid or matter than energy with very low vibration frequencies. Thus, we equate reality with matter when it’s just the opposite. All matter is temporal. News flash: your physical body has a pre-determined shelf life. Your etheric energy template (say spirit so you won’t recoil on me now) is eternal.

So, think it not strange that we project our “matter paradigms” on to God.

God is this PERSON (how that works as also being everywhere at all times isn’t posited) who is “out there” in this PHYSICAL place called heaven of course. Are you beginning to see the MATERIAL MISTAKES? And then some groups take it to where we’re literally walking on streets of gold, in luxurious condominiums (on a golf course of course). If we’ve done enough “good works” here on earth we might get to shoot a few rounds with St. Peter.

When taken to its logical conclusion this material world that we can’t seemingly shake (religion promotes it every Sunday) paints us into a corner. We are spiritual (energy-light) beings. And, we are eternal. Claim it and begin to BE IT!

The world is in such a rapid expansion of knowledge that we are close to entering a tipping point that will forever change earth as we know it.

In Buddhism, rebirth is not transmigration.  There is no self that is being reborn.  On the other hand, rebirth in Buddhism is part and parcel of the continuous process of change, not just in our death and birth.  Rebirth is actually manifested at every moment.  When we examined our body, though and actions, our experiences are constantly characterized by birth, death and rebirth.

There are various realms, spheres and dimensions of existence.  The 6 realms of existence is a common presentation.  It can be further divided into 2 groups of fortunate and unfortunate existences.

(1) Realm of Gods (fortunate)

(2) Realms of Demigods (fortunate)

(3) Realm of Human Beings (fortunate)

(4) Realm of Animals (unfortunate)

 (5) Realm of Hungry Ghosts (unfortunate)

 (6) Realm of Hell Beings (unfortunate)

Among the 3 unfortunate realms, the cause of rebirth in the animal realm is heedless pursuit of sensual desires that resulted in ignorance.  The cause of rebirth in the hungry ghost realm is attachment and greed that resulted in miserliness.  The cause of rebirth in the Hell realm is repeated violent behavior such as cruelty and killing.

Of the other 3 fortunate realms, the cause of rebirth in the demigods is generosity.  However, they are constantly at war due to their suffering from jealousy and envy.  The cause of rebirth as Gods is good conduct and meditation.  However, they suffer from overindulgence and pride that inhibits their practice.  The human realm is the most preferred of the 6 realms because as a human, one has both the motivation and opportunity to practice the Dharma and to achieve enlightenment.

The Soul needs a dancing partner. Sure, we can dance all by our lonesome self, but what fun is that? As it relates to the spiritual matters, we have two partners that we can be attracted to for this dance called life. One though is for a really, really short dance while the other is an eternal dance wherein you never get tired. 

Indigenous societies call it the dance of Father sky and Mother earth!

Let’s open up a door to another version using some Far East or oriental concepts such as Yin & Yang. According to CHinese philosophy, yin and yang are complementary opposites within a greater whole. Everything has both yin and yang aspects, which constantly interact, never existing in absolute stasis.

Spiritually speaking the SOUL of we created beings is the YIN. We’re here on mother earth, we are the feminine soul (forget your text book testoserone and estrogen teachings for now) that needs a MALE (Father sky) to dance with us. If we forget who brought us to the party (can you say earth), the SOUL realizes it’s nakeness and looks for “another partner”.

In fact the SOUL will create that male partner: and we call him the EGO!

Whereas it becomes easy to FOLLOW the eternal YANG (ever wonder why God is most often put in the MALE paradigm- other than for Christians the Bible was establised when patriarchy was in vogue), it will eventually be impossble to follow the dance steps of the EGO. There is no pleasing the EGO. The EGO not only demands that we the SOUL, who by the way created it, FOLLOW, but that we submit in the song selection as well.
